What to expect on your first visit?

If you have access to a printer, please bring the completed forms that may be found here. If you prefer to fill them out in our office, please arrive ten minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

Your initial visit will be a private consultation with Dr. Zellner to discuss your history, needs, and health goals and fully address any questions or concerns you might have. Chiropractic care is based on repetitive visits, especially initially, so it is important to ensure our office is a good fit for you. With your needs and goals in mind, a comprehensive chiropractic exam follows. This fully clothed exam allows Dr. Zellner to thoroughly evaluate the health of your spine, joints, muscles and all related structures. During the exam, you will be educated about the nature of your problem, given a detailed estimate on the correction process and any suggestions on what you can do at home to enhance your care.

What are we treating?

Tension patterns related to past accidents, repetitive motion, postural faults, genetic tendencies, abnormal skeletal formations and even mental and emotional stress are revealed during the examination. These tension patterns correlate with misaligned bones, strained joints/muscles and other abnormalities. The word for a misaligned bone is "subluxation". Subluxations of the spinal bones (vertebrae) can lead to nerve pressure and altered nerve function. Since nerves control all body functions, these subluxations can not only cause pain, but can lead to ill health and affect digestion, elimination, respiration, sleep patterns, immune function, kidney and bladder function, mental clarity and other body systems.

What are the various chiropractic techniques?

In the same way that artists or musicians each utilize different techniques, you will find that no two chiropractors practice their craft in the same way. The many dozens of chiropractic techniques can be divided into two general styles of adjustments: forceful or non-forceful (also referred to as "light force").

Forceful techniques involve the application of some pressure or a quick thrust to release a stuck joint. The popping noise you might hear is caused by a rapid change of pressure within the joint, and is the result of a gas bubble being released. This can be very beneficial and like all chiropractic techniques, it is not painful.

Non-force or light force techniques can involve gentle pressure or the use of an instrument to remove the subluxation from the affected area. These techniques ease muscle tension, reduce stress and allow for a stronger and longer lasting adjustment.

Why are Zellner Chiropractic Center's Techniques so effective?

Finding the most effective, efficient way to achieve positive results has led to Dr. Zellner's personal system of treatment. He has spent decades studying different modalities within the natural healing arts, including herbal medicine, homeopathy, muscle manipulation and acupuncture. Through continuing education, Dr. Zellner stays current with all of the latest chiropractic research and techniques.

Dr. Zellner's adjustments are an integration of numerous techniques individualized for each patient. Unlike other chiropractors who focus strictly on the spine, Dr. Zellner's holistic approach evaluates all of the bones, joints and muscles in the body including the skull, ensuring better results for his patients.

What is Dr. Zellner's optimal health model?

At Zellner Chiropractic Center we address the 5 factors of health: Diet, Exercise, Rest, Attitude and Energy.

These five factors are discussed during the course of your care with suggestions and solutions appropriate for your individual needs.

What is "Wellness"?

The concept of wellness has to do not merely with relieving pain and symptoms, but with being your best, maximizing your life expression and your life experience.

Taking into account your unique stressors, diet, thought patterns, structural issues, activity level, work considerations, and other important lifestyle factors, we work together to design a program of care for your maximum heath. Receiving chiropractic care at Zellner Chiropractic Center is an important contribution to your overall wellness.

What are the fees and payment options?

We offer an excellent service at a reasonable fee. Call 303-444-7524 and speak to a staff member regarding fees and insurance questions.

The majority of our patients pay for their care themselves. We call it Private Pay, paid for by cash, credit card or check at the time the service is rendered.

Private Pay for select services:

  • Adjustment - $50
  • Child adjustment (under 18) - $40
  • 12 visit package is available for a 10% discount
  • 6 visit package is available for a 10% discount

Vitamins, herbal remedies, pillows and other health aides are priced as marked.

Adjustments include all services performed that appointment, including cranial adjusting, extremity adjusting, visceral adjusting, nutritional consulting, exercise guidance and health coaching. Extra fees may apply for additional services.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, however insurance plans are highly individualized. For this reason we call your insurance company on your behalf and verify your benefits. Not all plans cover chiropractic. Many have high deductibles that are greater than the cost of a chiropractic program. Co-pays can be close to or more than our private pay fee. In these instances, it may cost less to not use insurance. Once we verify your benefits, we will give you options for getting the care you need. Remember: all recommendations are thoughtfully made with your best health interests in mind.

We are in network with:

  • Cigna
  • Anthem/ BlueCross BlueShield
  • Aetna
  • United Health Care

Are your services covered by HMO/PPO type plans?

Possibly - We will be either in-network or out-of-network. Please call 303-444-7524 to discuss your potential HMO or PPO benefits.

I have Medicare coverage. Do you accept Medicare?

We accept Medicare patients and will bill Medicare on your behalf.

I have Medicaid. Does it pay for chiropractic?

No, unfortunately there are no Medicaid benefits for chiropractic.

I was in a car accident. Can I get care at your office?

Yes. In fact, it is very important to have your spine checked following a car accident. If you caused the accident, you can use health insurance or be on our private pay plan.

If the accident was the other person's fault, his or her auto insurance company and/or your auto insurance med-pay provision will cover chiropractic care in our office 100%.

I was in a work related injury. Will workers compensation pay for care?

Yes. As long as your employer or the designated health care provider authorizes us to treat you, workers compensation will pay 100% of your bill for 12 visits.

Do you treat children?
